This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies Nice Forms uses. It complements the privacy policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage. They can keep you signed in, remember a language, or count a survey visit.
Essential cookies and storage
We only set cookies that are required for the service to work. These do not require consent under the German TTDSG / TDDDG because they are strictly necessary.
- Session cookies (Better Auth)
- Keep you signed in to the dashboard. Set when you log in. Typically a session token and related security cookies. Duration: session or a limited persistent period needed to stay logged in.
- NEXT_LOCALE
- Stores whether the interface is English or German. Set when the site detects your language or when you switch it. Duration: 1 year. SameSite=Lax.
Public surveys also store a random visit identifier in session storage in your browser. That value is not a cookie. It is used only to count views, drop-off, and completion for that survey tab and is cleared when the tab session ends.
What we do not use
- Advertising or retargeting cookies.
- Third-party analytics cookies such as Google Analytics.
- Social-media tracking pixels.
How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser. If you block essential cookies, you can still answer public surveys, but you will not stay logged in to the dashboard and the language preference may reset.
Guidance for common browsers is available from the European Commission cookie guide and aboutcookies.org.
